This event explores ways in which we might create more spaces for free expression.

HCUAP seeks to create a platform for dialogue with the goal of creating inclusive and restorative legal models for graffiti, and street art as forms of public art that serve vital functions for free expression.

Current policy pits property owners, community organizations, graffiti writers, and city officials against each other and results in violations of writers' civil rights and freedom of expression. The panelists will share their research findings and personal stories about current policy and how it affects the community and practitioners.
