Deborah J. Danuser and Kelly M. O’Donnell Selected for Whittington Leadership and Innovation Challenge for Ph.D. Students

Deborah J. Danuser and Kelly M. O’Donnell, along with doctoral students Kirby Sigler and Abby Hillmann from the Psychology Department, developed a winning proposal in the inaugural professional development competition, the Dietrich School Whittington Leadership and Innovation Challenge for Ph.D. Students. Complementing programming offered by the University, the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, and its departments, the Whittington Leadership and Innovation Challenge supports student-designed and student-led projects that will enhance the professional development and leadership skills of graduate students across disciplines.

Their proposal, “Shattering the Glass Ceiling: Revealing the Hidden Curriculum” is a workshop series for women in graduate school is designed to teach strategic competencies in areas critical to professional success, such as communication, project management, mental wellness and work-life balance. The workshops begin in January 2022 and run throughout the Spring Semester.
