Lambda Pi Eta

Dear Communication Majors,

Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) is the National Communication Association’s official honor society.  LPH is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) with over 500 chapters worldwide.  The Omicron Psi Chapter here at Pitt has been in existence since 2005 and has over 100 members.

Membership is by invitation only and is extended to those Communication majors who obtain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA after 60 credit hours. Also, a minimum of a 3.25 GPA in the Communication major with at least 12 credits completed is needed.  There is a one-time initiation fee of $30.00. If you would also like to purchase your honors cord for graduation that is an additional $9.85. Please bring your registration form and check (payable to the University of Pittsburgh for the exact amount - $30.00 for just the initiation fee OR $39.85 if also purchasing the honors cord for graduation ***Please bring checks, not cash) to the main office in the Cathedral of Learning (1433).

The deadline for Fall 2181 is October 27th, 2017.

As a member, you will receive a certificate of membership.  You are also eligible for involvement in the organization at the national level through participation in the annual business meeting, awards ceremony, and undergraduate paper presentations.

Again, congratulations on your academic achievement and invitation to join Lambda Pi Eta.  If you have questions or require additional information, please contact me at 412-624-1138 or gareis@pitt.edu.  I am looking forward to welcoming you as a LPH member.

Sincerely,
