Speaking in the Disciplines
The Speaking in the Disciplines (SID) initiative promotes and supports the teaching, development, and pedagogical use of oral communication skills in all disciplines across the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Learn more about the SID initiative.
The SID Faculty Seminar is offered in collaboration with the Dietrich School and Center for Teaching and Learning. Its goal is to make student oral communication a prominent part of the undergraduate learning experience. Faculty who complete the Seminar are awarded a stipend.
An advanced degree in communication is not required to help students become more adept speakers and listeners. Instructor resources are available.
