Undergraduate Internships
Undergraduate communication internships can be found in a wide variety of communication-related fields. Several offices at Pitt offer advice on how to find an internship, as well as links to many other university, community, and worldwide agencies which can help you find an internship.
Once you find an internship site and a Communication Department faculty sponsor, fill out the Internship Agreement form and bring it to a communication advisor.
Students must satisfy a number of requirements to qualify for an internship, including a 2.75 QPA.
Most students find internships at local radio and television stations, non-profit agencies, and local businesses.
Two of the most useful Web sites for internship placement are the Office of Experiental Learning Web site and the School of Arts and Sciences internship page. There, you can find information about internships and search through multiple listings. Or you can go directly to the current listings.
You will probably be asked to sign up for FutureLinks, a free and valuable service, which takes a few days. We encourage you to sign up for FutureLinks now.
