This list of resources can help you develop your speaking skills.

What types of speaking projects can I bring to the Communication Lab?

You may bring any kind of speaking project, at any stage of development, to the lab for personal consultation and instruction. Speeches, discussions, focus groups, research presentations, interviews, and press conferences are all examples of projects appropriate for lab work.

Why do people contact the lab?

Is there a fee to use the Communication Lab?

No.  Lab services are free of charge to Pitt students, staff, and faculty.

Do I need to have an appointment?

Yes. You can schedule an appointment during the following hours:

Monday: 9:00AM-4:00PM, 6:00PM-7:00PM
Tuesday: 8:00AM-1:00PM, 2:00PM-3:00PM, 5:00PM-7:00PM
Wednesday: 9:00AM-4:00PM, 6:00PM-7:00PM
Thursday: 8:00AM-1:00PM, 5:00PM-7:00PM
Friday: 10:00AM-4:00PM
