New Awards for Graduate Students

Christine Feldman has won the German-American Fulbright Award and will attend Hamburg University next school year.
Heather Fisher has been awarded the Andrew Mellon Predoctoral Fellowship for the next academic year.
Jessica Ghilani has won the Travel-to-Collections Grant, as well as the Women's Studies Teaching Fellowship.
Carleton Gholz has been awarded travel expenses for research.
Octavia Graham has won a K. Leroy Irvis Summer Research Fellowship and has been awarded a SEALS tuition scholarship award to pursue summer intensive Japanese language at the University of Pittsburgh this summer.
Ian Reyes has won a K. Leroy Irvis Summer Research Fellowship.
David Seitz has been invited to George Washington University for the Summer Institute on Conducting Archival Research this summer; he also has won the Stanley Prostrednik Grant.
Qian Zhang was announced as the winner of the John H. Tsui Memorial Award for Graduate Students.
2005-06 Spiegel Award Winners
The winner of the 2005-06 Jennifer and Eric Spiegel Book Award competition is Carrie Pavlik. Runner-up was Teresa Meade, and honorable mention went to Ammon Brooks Renoll, John Swank, and Joshua H. Camson.
