Panthers Heading for Harvard

On October 24th, the William Pitt Debating Union (WPDU) strikes out for Boston to compete at the Harvard Invitational Crimson Debates. Two teams will be competing: sophomore Madeline Budny and first year Rahul Ramanna, and junior Rishi Chebrolu and first year Matt Piekos. This trip will be the third of the semester, coming on the heels of travels to Kansas City, Missouri and Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Panthers have been working hard in the time between tournaments, and this trip marks the first WPDU to the Harvard competition in several years.

The Pitt debaters are especially excited to be competing at Harvard. Madeline is especially excited for the Panthers to deploy some new argumentative secret weapons that have the potential to win big debates, noting, "This tournament represents an excellent opportunity for us to test out some new strategies that we've been working on all semester." In addition to the competitors, associate director Paul Johnson and assistant coach Sydney Pasquinelli will be attending the tournament. Wish the WPDU luck and follow us at our twitter feed (@WPDU) for updates.
